Claire Davies CopywriterWhen I'm not at my desk writing you will find me eating, cooking, sharing and talking about food. My previous career as an occupational therapist embedded a passion for people, communities and wellbeing. Finally, my own experiences as a heart transplant patient give me a unique perspective on life in general.

These interests have led me to a wide variety of work. Over the years I have contributed to York On A Fork, YorkMix, and others, with a regular recipe column in The York Press between 2015 and 2017. But it is not just the written word - I often take part in local radio, even demonstrating a 16th-century recipe live on air!

As a copywriter, I have the expertise to understand a publication and their target audience. I love writing freelance content that speaks to what it means to be human - the food we eat, the stories we tell, the people we love and how we see ourselves.

Areas of Expertise - The history of food and drink, seasonal cooking and eating, food poverty, food and wellbeing, sustainable and ethical food choices, recipes for home cooking, storytelling, communication, creativity and wellbeing.

How I Can Help - bespoke recipe development, informative articles for print or online content, local expertise on food sourcing and eating out, raising awareness of community projects and social issues.
